BROOMALL, PA — Alpha Architect, LLC announces that Jess Bost, RICPⓇ has joined the firm as Vice President – Brand Partnerships. In her newly created role, Mrs. Bost will develop and expand upon current RIA relationships to identify, analyze, and build affordable, tax-efficient investment portfolios and assist with the implementation and execution of a strategic plan for empowering investors through education.

Mrs. Bost joins Ryan Kirlin (Head of Capital Markets at Alpha Architect) to build a solution for firms looking to adapt their models to include ETF portfolios built on high transparency and high-quality investment characteristics. Together, Mr. Kirlin and Mrs. Bost will continue to develop investment solutions to educate and empower advisors and investors.  Alpha Architect seeks to capitalize on tax-efficient, lower cost, and transparent ETF portfolios that are customized for advisors unique needs.

Dr. Wes Gray, Ph.D., CEO/CIO of Alpha Architect, states:

Mrs. Bost launched a financial planning firm, Wealth is Strength, in 2020, utilizing her keen understanding of the personal training landscape to create behavior-focused personal finance solutions for fitness-minded individuals wanting to learn how to intentionally build wealth.(1)

Prior to that, her rapid growth from Administrative Assistant to COO/Planner of an independent advisory firm helped form her passion for structured planning as the integral piece of building wealth. Throughout her years in wealth management, Jess has also continued as a CrossFit coach and personal trainer. Helping individuals learn to build both wealth and health have become an indivisible part of her legacy and focus.

Mrs. Bost, who has more than 10 years of personal training experience and now four years in the wealth management industry, is also passionate about being an advocate for other women, including the two girls she and her husband are raising. “I was born not just to be strong,” she says, “but strong enough to lend my strength to others too.” She graduated from Berry College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

After serving as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps, Dr. Gray earned an MBA and a PhD in finance from the University of Chicago where he studied under Nobel Prize Winner Eugene Fama. Next, Wes took an academic job in his wife’s hometown of Philadelphia and worked as a finance professor at Drexel University. Dr. Gray’s interest in bridging the research gap between academia and industry led him to found Alpha Architect, an asset management firm dedicated to an impact mission of empowering investors through education. He is a contributor to multiple industry publications and regularly speaks to professional investor groups across the country. Wes has published multiple academic papers and four books, including Embedded (Naval Institute Press, 2009), Quantitative Value (Wiley, 2012), DIY Financial Advisor (Wiley, 2015), and Quantitative Momentum (Wiley, 2016). Dr. Gray currently resides in Palmas Del Mar Puerto Rico with his wife and three children. He recently finished the Leadville 100 ultramarathon race and promises to make better life decisions in the future.
