Joni Keski-Rahkonen, MSc is an Engineer by profession but also an Investing Aficionado. He works for Rolls-Royce as a Senior Research & Development Engineer specializing applied mechanics (Finite Element Method, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Systems Modeling) and data analytics (Probabilistic Models, Statistics, Machine Learning). He is passionate about new technologies and their impact on business. Joni graduated from University of Oulu, Finland in 2012 with a major in Engineering Mechanics. He has also studied hydrodynamics as a postgraduate. Quite early Joni noticed that he could take some of the analysis tools and methods he knew from engineering world and apply them to quantitative investing. Now he has spent years on reading every investing book, paper and blog post he could get his hands on. However, he also likes to do independent research and crunch the numbers himself. Joni enjoys challenging conventional wisdom and wants to do his part on busting investing myths by sharing his findings with the community.
