Last week I had the privilege of being on CNBC to talk about value investing. A big shout out to Josh Brown, who introduced me to the Halftime Report producer. (video is below).

Obviously, being on TV is kinda cool, but the coolest part of the CNBC experience was the parking lot outside of the studio…

Pat, David, and I rolled up in my busted 11-year-old Honda Civic–Alpha Architect’s official “roadshow vehicle.”

When we arrived at the CBNC parking lot we noticed that there was something different about our ride and everyone else’s ride…

Do you notice anything about the value investors?

I think you’re working a few Basic Factors in there: Obviously Value, but also clearly Small Minus Big, and Conservative Minus Aggressive and maybe a little “high quality in there” as I’m sure the cash flows on your car are better and from the outside it looks pretty well managed!
All in all, even in buying a car, it’s really hard to be investing in only one of the Basic Factors!!!

Really good segment that conveys well where you are coming from. The “fun” of what you’re doing comes through. Those are giant parking places – I guess that’s needed if everybody drives SUVs. 😉 You can claim it’s your security entourage.
