We did a study of this a while ago using the data from Ken French’s website. All of the results below are through December 2010.
- “Buy October, Sell April” means own stocks at the close of September 30 and sell stocks at the close of March 31.
- Average difference between B&H and Buy November and Sell May is 2.94% CAGR.
