Prof. Richard Price, an old friend, co-author, and Alpha Architect advisory board member, is working on some cool new co-authored research that requires audience participation!

Dr. Price, alongside Professors Dipankar Ghosh, and  Atul Rai, are conducting research to better understand what factors are used by professional financial analysts to assess a firm for investment purposes when the firm declares an annual loss (instead of an annual profit).

The Research Pitch

While a lot of research has been done on analysts examining firms which declare an annual profit, firms declaring an annual loss have received little or no attention. Therefore, Richard and his colleagues believe this is an interesting research issue because many of the commonly studied factors, which analysts would use for a profit-making firm, may not be applicable for a loss-making firm.

For their research project, they want to conduct an online survey of professional financial analysts. I am asking for your help to conduct the survey by forwarding the link below to any professional financial analyst you think may be interested in participating in the survey. The professors are also open to approaching any group of analysts to seek their assistance to conduct the survey.

The Survey

The survey will only take about 15 to 20 minutes to complete, and all responses will be kept absolutely confidential. The authors are be happy to share their aggregate findings with participants that are interested.

The survey is available here. Or click on the image below
