Friends/Readers,

Tian Yao, a former student of mine at Drexel, and a long-time member of the Alpha Architect family, is moving on to bigger and better things. Tian recently got married and she is relocating to be with her husband in Northern New Jersey. She’ll be working with the large family office with which we work, so she’ll never be too far away, but we are sorry to see her go. So while we are bummed, we couldn’t be happier for her as she starts the next chapter of her life.

Go Tian!

Go Tian!

Tian has also played a huge role in developing the research summaries that are posted on our blog and she has a been a key contributor towards our mission of empowering investors through education. She also represents the future of finance and global markets and she inspires our team to never get complacent and rest on our pedigrees or past success. Tian represents the epitome of a hard worker, a team-player, and an all around solid person. I’ll never forget the day when she showed up to my office at Drexel (I was her professor at the time) and said:

I want a challenge. Can you give me a difficult research project?

Below is a team photo of Tian with the team at her sendoff barbecue:

The only sane person at the office will be leaving!

We will dearly miss Tian, and we hope you will join us in wishing her fair winds and following seas! Good luck Tian!

Semper Fi,
The Alpha Architect team
